You don't know Jack!

I hope you all have had a good time the last 3 months with all the checklists. I know Jack needed a break and was able to get caught up with matters on the home front. The extra down time should have made it possible to get your taxes done without Jack distracting you. I hope you are all ready for the last 2 games of Jack. (I know many people had wondered where Jack was) A reminder, that there are still 4 spots open for the Jack final contest so if you think you are not in the running, remember 2 wild card teams will be selected to join the fray so you may want to do your best to score as many points as you possibly can. I will send out a rundown of current team standing and results of the last 3 contests later this week. Like I said Jack finally got caught up on the home front. Enjoy.

Game LSH results are in. Jack was surprised that a number of teams decided not to play. It will be harder for teams to make up ground from here on and still have a chance for the finals if they don’t play. I guess the workload of October took priority status for those teams. Maximum game points were 350. The Know Flakes and the 4 Amigos lead the way with 345 points. Things are still looking bunched up at the top. The Results of the Uncle Rebus are in.

Game 1 of the 2nd half of the race to qualify for the Jack championship final is off to a fine start. Jack was really surprised of each team’s ability in solving the numerous rebus puzzles. You all are congratulated. Maximum game points available were 435. No team aced the game but the Rescuers came out scoring the most, but a number of teams were not far off. It looks like the 2nd half will be very competitive. Remember, no team is out of it until the end.

The Results of the Match Game 2006 are in.

The 1st half of Jack is over and a 1st half champion has been crowned. Congratulations to the Stupids. I guess we shouldn’t let their name throw us off. They were definitely determined to win out. Some of the top teams made a run at the leaders. Had any teams been able to correctly identify the right matches in the super bonus match, the results would have been different. Best scoring team for Match game was the Lincoln Virtuosos with 189 points. 2nd half of Jack will be on it’s way.
All teams will start out from scratch. We will have to see if the Stupids can repeat or if a new champ will be crowned. Just a heads up. Match Game will return in December. This should give you time to get into Jack’s mindset.

We are hitting the halfway point of Jack. Here is what the plans are. A first half champion will be crowned after this month's game and automatically qualify for the finals. Other automatic qualifiers for the finals will be the 2nd half champion, bonus champion, football follies winner and 2 at large berths based on highest points earned from all games, regular and bonus. SO no team is really out of it. Thought I'd give you a quick heads up. Have fun with this one and enjoy the summer. The Match Game for June.

The May game is one you all should be familiar with it is- Picture This The goal for this game is to identify the 30 mystery pictures.

I really anticipated that this game would be a challenge, but you Gamers proved me wrong … AGAIN. 5 teams – BOOBS, Pearls BS, 7 Dwarfs, Trivia Troop and Rescuers aced the numbers. Good Job. That ace earns each team an extra 50 points in their bonus pot. The Numbers show that there was little change in the standings. Just a few teams were able to leap frog up a notch or two. I think I have grossly underestimated each team’s grit and determination. It appears all the teams are out to win. For now, Jack will have to find a way to toughen things up. So I’d better get back to work. PLAY ON!

Here is April's game of Jack (Game 4). I believe this one will test your nerves - again. Standings and game 3 results hope to be out next week. Hope you all found your Easter eggs. Working on May's bonus game. Remember how poorly you do on the regular games, you will always have opportunities for bonus points to help ease any pain you anguish or vastly improve your game expertise standing. Game 4 answers.

The Results of Triple Play are in.
Month 1 of Jack has come to an end. I know that some of the clues were hard but I was surprised on the number of teams that got the harder ones right. You either knew your stuff or did a fine job of researching to prove that you do know Jack. As I told you to get the full points, your answers had to be specific. Leading the way and showcasing their early brilliance was the Fantastic 4 Pack with 180 points. Congratulations. to the 4-Pack crew. One team posted there Triple Play results within the 1-hr mystery post time & date. Mystery post was set at 3:05 pm on1/20. The Rescuers came in at 2:35. With this they earn additional bonus points. (not reflected in game results.) A Note to all teams, bonus points are currently being earned. A team’s bonus points earned will be posted at the end of Jack. Here are the answers for Triple Play.

January 3 has arrived and so has Game 1 of Jack 2006. As always, I will start you out with a fairly simple game to get your juices flowing. Like last year, any teams posting their game results that fall within 1hr of the pre-selected Post Time will receive extra bonus points. So it may or may not bode you well to complete the game expediently. Good Luck. Deadline to return game 1 is Jan. 31. Triple Play is the first challenge.
